What's New for the 2019 Toyota Tundra?

The Tundra is a full-size truck that has been an appealing option in the Toyota lineup since 2000. The most recent generation was released by Toyota in 2014, and Toyota has made minor improvements to the truck throughout the interior and exterior for the last several years. Available in three trim levels for the new model year and offering passenger seating for five or six adults, you may find that one of the new Tundra trucks on our lot is ideal for your upcoming purchase plans.

Strong Trims and Technology for the 2019 Tundra

The primary trims available for the 2019 Toyota Tundra are the SR5, the Limited and the Platinum. Each has significant variations throughout the interior and exterior as well as under the hood. The base trim is the SR5, and some of its standard equipment includes LED daytime running lights, a gray grille, a deck rail with tailgate caps, powered and heated side mirrors in black, solar energy-absorbing glass, an easy lower and lift tailgate, an integrated backup camera, air filtration with the climate control system, a JBL audio system, a navigation system, cloth seating, and audio buttons mounted on the steering wheel and more.

If you upgrade to the Limited trim, your 2019 Tundra gives you a silver grille with chrome bumper end caps, heated and powered side mirrors in chrome, an automatic climate control system, an upgraded sound system, leather heated seats, power-adjustable front seats, a leather steering wheel and more. The Limited trim adds onto these features and gives you a black honeycomb grille, a color-keyed rear bumper, turn signals integrated into the heated and powered side mirrors, ventilated and heated leather front seats and more. With many variations between the 2019 Tundra trims, it makes sense to visit the Toyota dealership and to view the vehicles in person.

How Powerful is the Drivetrain in the Tundra?

2019 Toyota Tundra Front WaterThe Tundra is a powerful truck that performs well regardless of the trim that you take home. The base SR5 trim is equipped with an i-Force V8, 4.6-liter engine that offers 310 horsepower. This engine has a tubular stainless-steel exhaust manifold, variable valve timing and an Acoustic Control Induction System. The two superior trims available for 2019 are loaded with a 5.7-liter version of this same engine, and this powertrain generates 381 horsepower.

Some of the other mechanical features that are loaded into the Tundra include direct fuel injection, anti-lock brakes, a heavy-duty battery, an ECT-I intelligent automatic transmission system, rear-wheel drive, an independent coil spring suspension system and more. Test driving the trim levels provides you with an easy way to compare the performance capabilities of the different powertrains.
