What's New For the 2020 Toyota Avalon?
New in 2020 for the Toyota Avalon is the Toyota Racing Development (TRD) Trim Level. Viewed more like an update to existing features, it still provides an upgraded feel to an already classy car.
Included is the cat-back dual exhaust system that delivers an impressive level of sound during acceleration. The wheels are a half-inch wider and lightweight. This, combined with the dual-piston calipers, allows the car to stop faster. Also included are better anti-roll bars and updated nonadaptive dampers. Also, firmer springs in the front and back of the vehicle (10 percent in the front and 15 percent in the back) and more reliable underbody braces allow for a lower center of gravity by dropping the car by .60 inches thus allowing it to hug the road better while traversing winding roads.
Available Trims and Features in the 2020 Toyota Avalon
The Toyota Avalon is offered in five trim levels: the XLE, XSE, TRD, Touring, and Limited. As the newest trim level to the Avalon, the TRD Trim Level includes some sporty elements. As expected of the Avalon, the body kit is black with red pinstriping. There is a new rear spoiler, a diffuser element has been added to the lower rear bumper, and the exterior trim is blacked-out. The Avalon still has automatic climate control, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.

Toyota Avalon Performance
Having a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 301 horsepower, the 2020 Avalon delivers responsive handling on the highway or in town during rush hour. Also, it's 8-speed automatic transmission provides a smooth and consistent ride.
Packed With Safety Features
Included at no extra cost, the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) provides many essential features. The Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) can be used to adjust the speed when cars are detected nearby automatically. It also plays a part in another safety feature, Lane Tracing Assist, which will utilize lane markers and the DRCC to center the car in its lane.
Pedestrians are safer with the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. It will detect and warn the driver when pedestrians are nearby. Also, there is the Lane Departure Alert, which will detect when the car is swerving out of its lane, the Automatic High Beams, which will dim and brighten based on nearby traffic, and Road Sign Assist, which will detect and restate signage for the drivers' information.
Other safety features include adaptive cornering lights that will turn on as you change lanes or navigate intersections for better visibility. Cameras are available to help with parking and negotiate blind spots. The Star Safety System includes anti-lock brakes, brake assist, vehicle stability control, electronic brake-force distribution, and smart stop technology. Last but not least is the Toyota Care, which includes roadside assistance.
