What's New For the 2019 Toyota Sienna

Although many experts regard the 2019 Toyota Sienna as a carryover vehicle from the previous 2018 model, there are a few upgrades that Toyota has included in the 2019 release. The newest Toyota Sienna offers Apple CarPlay (ACP) compatibility, which is a first for this specific line of Toyota vehicles. ACP serves as a control center for any iOS smartphone that is an iPhone 5 or above. After configuring the ACP interface with your device, the manufactured knobs and buttons that came with the Sienna automatically serve as controls for the ACP system.

Two more major changes introduced in the 2019 model are the additional trim and configuration options. Last year's Sienna offered 13 trim options with 15 configurations available. If consumers found these options plentiful, then they'll be happy to know that this year's model offers three more trim options, as well as three more configuration varieties.

How Many Trims & Features are Available on the 2019 Toyota Sienna?

As previously stated, the 2019 Toyota Sienna offers 16 different trim options. The most basic and affordable trim style is the L 7 Passenger starting at $31,115. This model comes with seven spacious seats, the same 8-speed automatic transmission as other trim options, and eight exterior color options. The L 7 Passenger trim unfortunately doesn't have all-wheel drive, which is primarily available in alternate trim styles.

For those interested in a mid-range trim, the XLE 7 Passenger starts at $39,695, and offers the all-wheel drive feature that the L 7 Passenger lacks. The engine size is the same as comparative trim options, but for roughly $8,000 more consumers can have the reassurance that comes with all-wheel drive while commuting on rough terrain. More premium trim options such as the Limited Premium 7 Passenger model offer all of the above, but also save on fuel costs due to these trim options getting 22 MPG compared to many trim options getting just 20 MPG.

Due to its ULEV-III status, owners can rest assured that their 2019 Toyota Sienna vehicles are an environmentally conscious investment. With the engine weighing in at 265 lbs, the power-to-weight ratio is ideal for a high performance vehicle.

What are the New Advanced Safety Features in the 2019 Toyota Sienna?

2019 Toyota Sienna Rear LiftgateThe newest Toyota Sienna of course comes with Toyota's standard safety features such as their anti-lock braking system (ABS) that helps prevent skidding while aiding in turning around sharp curves. Aside from their standard safety features, Toyota ensured that the 2019 Sienna model came equipped with even more advanced safety measures such as their extensive airbag system. Drivers are provided with the protection of front-impact, side-impact, overhead, and knee airbags for optimal protection in the case of a crash. The seats are also designed with anti-whiplash technology due to active headrests that protect drivers from excessive neck strain.
