Springfield Dealer Researching the New Avalon

The premium midsized 2016 Toyota Avalon sports a variety of revisions this year. It gains a new XLE Plus trim for the standard model and Avalon Hybrid, two suspension tuning levels, styling enhancements on the Touring model and comes available with the new Toyota Safety Sense-P system on Limited models. Additionally, the sedan sports a series of new technologies across the lineup that improve the overall driving experience. This year, the 2016 Toyota Avalon in Springfield gets a new grille and turn signals. The Touring model also receives a fresh grille and LED headlamps/daylights, while the Limited gets 17-inch chrome alloy wheels on the hybrid and 18-inch chrome alloy wheels on the gas variant. Aside from these exterior changes, the Limited is now available with Toyota Safety Sense-P, which features a Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, to name a few. Also new to the trim roster for 2016 is the XLE Plus model on hybrid and gas versions. Both this model and the XLE feature an Entune Audio Plus system with Connected Navigation Scout GPS Link, which uses a driver's smartphone to provide navigation inside the car. The XLE Premium model receives Entune Audio with In-Vehicle Navigation and App Suite, along with Qi wireless charging for compatible phones.

On the standard 2016 Toyota Avalon in Springfield, a 3.5L V6 engine, delivering 268 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft. of torque, can be found underneath the hood. It's mated to a six-speed automatic and produces an EPA-estimated 24 mpg combined. The Avalon Hybrid, which features Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive system and a 2.5L Atkinson cycle four-cylinder, delivers a combined output of 200 horsepower through a special continuously variable transmission and produces first-class efficiency.
