Like art, music and food? Then block off your calendar for First Friday Art Walk. Occurring on a monthly basis from 6-10 p.m., this is one Springfield extravaganza that has something special to offer everyone. Here you’ll get to view and purchase a wide range of art pieces featured in 28 participating venues. As always, there will be various forms of art: calligraphy, artistic design, folk and much more.
While you check out the intriguing art designs, you’ll also get to listen to live music from a variety of local musicians who will be playing around the area. In addition, you’ll get to witness works of art literally come to life during the event’s live art demonstrations that are always a big hit with attendees.
Remember to dress accordingly, and come hungry! There will be a number of food vendors on-hand ready to serve you up something delicious. Drawing hundreds of people to Springfield’s Downtown Arts District each month, First Friday Art Walk continues to be one of the most cherished events in our city.
