sertoma duck race festival is returning to springfield, missouri

Quack, quack!! On Friday and Saturday, June 23-24, our area’s most cherished event will return to Springfield: The Sertoma Duck Race Festival. Known as the quackiest duck race around, it doesn’t matter how many times you’ve been to the event because it never gets old. Featuring a wide range of fun-filled activities beginning at 5 p.m. on that Friday, the gathering has something for the entire family to enjoy.

From fireworks and live music to a car show and hot air balloon show, you won’t want to miss out on all the fun to be had here. Now in its 17th year, the event’s main attraction – the duck race – features 6,000 rubber ducks who will once again float down The Finley River on Saturday starting at 6 p.m. Participating in the race could prove to be very lucrative for you, too, as there will be more than $40,000 in prizes to be had for those with the fastest duckies. Admission is $5 per carload.

Remember to dress accordingly, as this is a rain or shine event. Also, don’t forget to come hungry, because there will numerous food trucks on hand ready to serve you up something delicious.
